Boston Bruins 50/50 Raffle Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Bruins 50/50 Raffle! We are looking for 30-40 outgoing volunteers (18+, unless accompanied by an adult) for the Boston Bruins Foundation Charity Night in partnership with The Joey Fund and the CF Community. On February 12, 2019, the Boston Bruins will be taking on the Chicago Blackhawks at 7PM. Volunteers will be responsible for selling raffle tickets to attendees throughout the TD Garden during the game.

This event usually raises around $40k - Bruins game attendees are familiar with the 50/50 Raffle, and are very excited to participate. 50% of the total goes to the raffle winner, and the other 50% is split evenly between the Boston Bruins Foundation & The Joey Fund. So, the more tickets you sell, the more money you raise for cystic fibrosis!

The raffle will not only be available in-person, but online as well. It goes LIVE for online sales after the game on February 10th, and will continue until the end of the 2nd period of the game on February 12th. You can push the link out to all of your friends and family, so they can join you from home!

  • If you’d like to participate, please email us at, and we’ll get you set up.

  • All Volunteers get a Joey Fund hat, a ticket to watch the game (the raffle concludes at the end of the 2nd period, and you can go and sit), a chance to be featured on our facebook and instagram pages, and the top two sellers will win exclusive prizes!

  • Volunteers are to arrive no later than an hour and a half before game time (i.e. 7:00 pm start please arrive at 5:30 pm).

  • Arrive at our Security Operations entrance, which is located along the right side of the building and is accessed by a handicap ramp. This is where you will sign out your volunteer credentials for the night. Once you have received your credentials TAKE THE ELEVATOR TO LEVEL 4 SECTION 16 TO BE PLACED AT A DESIGNATED SELLING AREA.

  • Volunteers are not allowed to consume alcohol while working, and are not allowed to enter the seating area.  Also, volunteers are asked to dress in business casual attire so we can keep a professional appearance amongst the group.

Selling/Closing Out:

  • Volunteers will be assigned an individual tablet for selling

  • Volunteers will be placed at a specific selling location and are asked to remain there unless there is an issue with equipment.

  • When the second intermission ends, volunteers will escort their individual money bag to a location TBD by Bruins Foundation Staff

  • Each volunteer will sign off on the total they are giving, which must match the total registered on the system. Variances will be questioned, and volunteers with repeat discrepancies will not be allowed to return.

  • Once your money is collected you are responsible for returning ALL of the supplies to the BBF “home base” located at Level 4 Section 16.

  • Once you have dropped your supplies you are then allowed to head up to Level 9 to watch the end of the game from the media level. VOLUNTEERS ARE NOT TO SIT ANYWHERE EXCEPT LEVEL 9!

  • We are all working to raise the most money possible for charity and ask that everyone bring their “A” game!

NOTES: Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation and parking. The area surrounding the TD Garden hosts many parking garages. We ask that all volunteers keep food and drink off the table and act as respectable representatives of the Boston Bruins Foundation.  If volunteers need to eat during the game, we ask that they remove their volunteer apron. Alcohol consumption is not permitted – if you are caught doing so you will not be asked back to volunteer.
